The DF250AP «Ultimate Four-Stroke Outboard» is based on the DF300AP and shares a common design. The time-tested 4028 ccm engine block is equipped with a self-adjusting chain, an air intake manifold with “Long Track Inatake” technology, VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and the “Suzuki Selective Rotation” system. Despite the impressive working volume and power output, thanks to the Suzuki Lean Burn Control system, the fuel consumption pleasantly surprises! The V6 configuration of the engine unit provides quiet and smooth operation throughout the rev range. S.P.C. The “Suzuki Precision Control” management ensures smooth shifting and precise throttle control, provides impressive comfort and at the same time maintains fuel economy.

Fully equipped with Suzuki’s latest technology

The DF300AP and DF250AP take advantage of many of the sophisticated technologies found in our other four-stroke V6 engines. Performance-enhancing features: Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) with four valves per cylinder, Suzuki’s Variable Gas Timing (VVT) and electronic multi-point sequential fuel injection. The DF300AP/250AP features a 55º “V” cylinder block design, compensating PTO shaft and two-stage reduction gear.

The DF250AP/300AP exemplifies Suzuki’s most advanced technology, providing the user with maximum power, performance and ease of use, along with low emissions and excellent fuel economy.

Excellent performance and ecology

Suzuki’s four-stroke engine technology delivers clean, efficient operation that meets EURO 1 emissions standards and California Air Resources Board (CARB) Ultra Low Emissions Three-Star rating requirements.

Wide air intake channel with water separator

A wide air intake channel that enhances the high power output of the DF250A/300AP by maximizing airflow into the engine. The increased airflow creates more low- to mid-range torque to deliver the wide range of operating power required by the engine. It also includes a water separator to help keep water out of the electric throttle and a thermal protection system to keep the air as cool as possible.

Longevity

The DF250A/300A includes many features that help protect the outboard from the elements. Suzuki’s anti-corrosion finish is made from a compound specially designed to protect exterior aluminum components as they are constantly exposed to salt water. Double engine flushing channels make engine flushing much more convenient. Other features that extend the longevity of the DF300 include stamped pistons coated with alumite for increased thermal resistance, resin-coated piston guides for improved wear resistance and reduced friction, and water-cooled voltage regulators in the outboard electrical system .

Suzuki Selective Rotation
Large powerboats tend to be equipped with more than one outboard, paired with a standard rotary engine and a counter-rotation model to keep the boat straight in calm waters and prevent the boat from turning to one side or the other on its own. To eliminate the need to purchase a separate anti-clockwise engine, Suzuki’s innovative Suzuki Selective Rotation system eliminates this need by incorporating a special, unified design of gears, shafts, and bearings in the lower engine, allowing the engine to run safely and efficiently in any direction.

Available only on the DF200AP, the counter-rotation operation requires an additional activation switch that connects the electrical circuit inside the engine compartment, plus it is necessary to install a counter-rotation propeller.
