The Suzuki DF200A boat engine is based on a large displacement 2867 ccm, DOHC four-cylinder engine block. Suzuki engineers have focused on this time-tested big engine block, making it the toughest four-stroke boat engine in the 200 hp class, with impressive torque and fuel economy. Several modern technical solutions are used in the design of the engine – including the intake manifold with variable geometry «Multi-Stage Induction» and the «Suzuki Selective Rotation» system. The engine is offered with both manual and S.P.C. electronic control device.

Excellent performance – V6 engines

Suzuki’s upgraded variable camshafts give the DF225/200 powerful acceleration between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm, while the Multi-Stage air intake system ensures the best airflow to the engine for maximum performance on the DF200 and DF225 models.

More full power!

Suzuki’s V6 DOHC engines with 4 valves per cylinder include a harmoniously functioning, technologically advanced control system. Each of these three Suzuki V6 engines has a displacement of 3,614 cc, allowing for an output of up to 225 horsepower (184 kW). A larger reduction gear ratio and a 16-inch diameter propeller are also used to increase power.

These large 3.6 liter V6 outboards are among the lightest, most compact and technically advanced outboards in their class. Perfect for outboarding a wide range of boats, no matter how many engines you use on your motorboat, one, two in a pair or even three.

More efficient, computerized fuel injection!

State-of-the-art Multi Point Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection is controlled by the world’s first 32-bit on-board computer, providing highly tuned electronic fuel injection. At the same time, less electric current is required for a more accurate and stronger ignition spark. In addition, these engines, which offer excellent fuel economy, are EURO 1 emission compliant and CARB 2008 compliant. Consequently, the exhaust gases at the rear of the motorboat are significantly cleaner than before.

Light weight and compact design!

Weighing just 263kg (X-leg model), the Suzuki V6 dispels the notion that a powerful four-stroke must be massive and heavy. Our 55-degree piston block and offset crankshaft axis relative to the propeller drive axis make them the most compact outboard motors in their class. Not only do you get top-notch performance, but you also get powerful engines that look great on a motorboat.

Suzuki Precision Control (Electronic Throttle and Shift Systems)
Suzuki Precision Control is a technologically advanced computerized steering control system that replaces the conventional mechanical remote control system. An electrical cable connecting the engine to the control panel eliminates the friction and drag of mechanical cable control. This allows you to enjoy a smooth handle switching action. The system’s computer processes and sends precise real-time commands to the electronic motor drives in the boat’s engine to provide precise and smooth throttle control and seamless shifting between gears. It is most noticeable and comparable in the low rev range, where the throttle action is required to be particularly smooth and precise. Together with Suzuki’s Lean Burn Control System, it allows control of fuel and air flow to increase control over the fuel mixture, thus improving fuel economy over a wide operating range. Suzuki Precision Control includes a protection system that helps protect the engine from damage due to improper shifting. As well as its design and simpler installation of the electrical installation make it easier and faster to install and switch the engine.
The system offers this control for single engine, twin engine, three or four outboard motors as well as two separate control panel operation.
